Based on what industry tells us our students have less "attitude" than those graduating from the private institutions. They fit into teams better and are able to mold to the needs of the organisation. There has also been the comment that our students are more versatile in that they are able to conceptualise and design, art direct, strategise, direct photography, illustrate and even do paper mechanics. So versatility is one point of difference and good working ethic (albeit a 'soft skill')is another.

Our students come from a wide range of backgrounds, culturally, economically and educationally.Project content and group work as a teaching methodology encourages and affirms difference and tolerance.I think that the diversity of our student groups is a strength.
Cost is another factor that distinguishes us- we are less than half the price of private institutions with excellent facilities and staff. Incredible value for money!

Versatility. The "attitude" thing is pretty much a gut feel thing - how does one measure this?

I also think that we HAVE to consider, as Janet did, the ENTRY level
